When asked to spotlight a university, Ms. Well’s fifth grade class in San Jacinto Elementary School located in San Jacinto, TX chose Ole Miss!  The class sent Leigh Anne a scrapbook filled with their pictures and each student’s favorite hobby.  Touched by the scrapbook, Leigh Anne decided to personally pick out and send a gift for each student in Ms. Well’s class.  Below is a letter we received from Kimberly Zimmer, Community Liaison for San Jacinto Elementary School.

On behalf of the kids and the parents of Ms. Wells’ fifth grade class, I would like to thank  Mrs. Touhy and her family foundation for the gifts. I was honored to take photographs for Ms. Wells as she presented the gifts and as the kids opened their presents.

The students felt so special receiving a present from someone “famous” who they had heard speak from the stage. They were amazed and awe-struck by how each gift was selected just for them. Several students commented, “I love art. How did she know?” or “How did she know I played football?”

Thank you for taking the time to reach into their lives and bless them.  They will remember your kindness forever.
